Dorothy Roberts-Johnston Art Educator - Educational Lineage

My educational lineage project highlights teachers that made a memorable impression in my life. I wanted to highlight the ones that encouraged, acknowledged my talents and helped steer me towards my now career path. I modeled a water color paint set to represent the hottest, most impactful teachers to the coolest or not so hot teacher experiences. I highlighted the strengths and characteristics of each teacher and how they inspired me as a student. There were a couple teachers rated as Blue / Purple they too made an impression in their own was and I often reflect on all six  teachers listed for various reasons.

Red - Green are teacher characteristics I strive to model daily in my classroom and the Blue / Purple are the teachers I remind myself how I need to continuously strive to be better, make connections and build relationships with students.

My goal is to make Art fun, educational and accessible for all students no matter their grade or skill set.
